Family Counselling in Pakistan

Families get stuck in patterns that nobody chose and nobody knows how to change. Family counselling works on what happens between people rather than deciding who's at fault.

Why Therapy for Family Difficulties Matters

Nobody is the problem

Family therapy looks at patterns between people rather than blaming one person.

Everyone gets a turn

Sessions are structured so quieter members are heard, not only the loudest.

Change how you communicate

Most family difficulty is communication that stopped working. That's very changeable.

Support one member better

When one person is struggling, family who understand can help. Therapy shows them how.

Handle transitions

Marriage, illness, migration, loss — change puts strain on families. Therapy helps you adapt together.

Set boundaries that hold

Boundaries in close families are difficult and possible. Therapy helps agree them.

Types of Therapy for Family Difficulties

Group 1261152996.png

Structural Family Therapy

Looking at how the family is organised — who talks to whom, where the boundaries sit, who ends up in the middle.

Useful where roles have become tangled, or one person is carrying more than their share.

Systemic Family Therapy

Treating the family as one system, where a change in one person shifts everyone else.

Moves away from asking who is at fault toward what keeps the pattern running.

Functional Family Therapy (FFT)

Structured work where a young person's behaviour is the main concern.

Well evidenced with adolescents, and it involves the whole family rather than the teenager alone.

Narrative Family Therapy

Each family member tells their own version of what's happening, which often differ more than anyone realised.

Useful where one person has become the identified problem and the story needs widening.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions people ask before they book. If yours isn't here, ask us.

What is family counselling?

Sessions with more than one family member, working on communication, conflict or supporting someone who's struggling.

Does everyone have to attend?

Not necessarily. Some sessions include everyone, others only some. Your psychologist will suggest what fits.

What if someone refuses?

Family work can still help with those who do attend. Change in a few members often shifts the whole pattern.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Some people find a handful of sessions enough; others work over several months. Your psychologist will talk it through after the first session rather than committing you to a package upfront.

How much is a session, and how do I pay?

Each psychologist sets their own fee and session length — you'll see theirs on their booking page before confirming. Sessions start from PKR 1,499. Payment is online, by card, Easypaisa or JazzCash.

Can I choose my psychologist?

Yes. Browse the profiles, read how each one works, and book whoever feels right. If it isn't the right fit, you can switch.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Sessions are private between you and your psychologist. The limited exceptions — where there's a risk to your safety or someone else's — are the same ones that apply to therapy anywhere.
