Parental Counselling in Pakistan
Nobody is trained for this, and every child is different. Parental counselling is a place to work out what's happening and what to do — without being judged for finding it hard.

Why Therapy for Parenting Challenges Matters
Nobody teaches this
Parenting is learned under pressure with no training. Asking for help is not a failure.
Understand what's driving it
Difficult behaviour is usually communication. Therapy helps you read what's being said.
Respond instead of react
There's a moment between your child's behaviour and your response. Therapy widens it.
Get on the same page
Parents pulling different directions confuses children. Therapy helps you agree an approach.
Repair the relationship
Where things have become strained, the connection can be rebuilt. That's often the real work.
Look after yourself too
Parental stress and burnout are real. You can't regulate a child while running on empty.

Types of Therapy for Parenting Challenges

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Coaching parents in real time on responding to their child's behaviour.
Strong evidence for younger children with behavioural difficulties.
Behavioural Parent Training
Practical strategies for encouraging what you want and reducing what you don't.
Structured and skills-based — you leave with things to use immediately.
Family Systems Therapy
Looking at the whole family pattern rather than the child alone.
Useful where difficulties involve more than one relationship.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
For the parent's own stress, guilt or anxiety.
Because how you're doing affects how you parent, and that's not selfish to address.
Braindost Stories
look at the minds we’ve brought into the light!

S., 22 Lahore
Walking into class or speaking up used to make my heart race and mind go blank. Reading Braindost’s blog, I realized it was social anxiety. Therapy felt like a hopeful step. It helped me speak up and finally feel like myself around others.

M., 26 · Islamabad
Growing up around constant shouting, I learned to stay quiet. Even now, loud voices make my chest tighten. Through therapy with Braindost, I realized it was childhood PTSD. Now I’m slowly finding peace.

H. & F., 34 · Lahore
Small issues grew into long silences. We drifted apart and felt lonely even together. Couples therapy at Braindost helped us open up, listen without defense, and slowly reconnect—building empathy, understanding, and hope again.

Frequently Asked Questions
The questions people ask before they book. If yours isn't here, ask us.
What is parental counselling?
Sessions with a psychologist focused on your parenting — the challenges, the relationship, and your own wellbeing in it.
Does my child need to attend?
Not always. A lot of parental counselling is with parents only. Your psychologist will suggest what fits.
Does this mean I'm a bad parent?
No. Most people who seek parenting support are doing so precisely because they care how it goes.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Some people find a handful of sessions enough; others work over several months. Your psychologist will talk it through after the first session rather than committing you to a package upfront.
How much is a session, and how do I pay?
Each psychologist sets their own fee and session length — you'll see theirs on their booking page before confirming. Sessions start from PKR 1,499. Payment is online, by card, Easypaisa or JazzCash.
Can I choose my psychologist?
Yes. Browse the profiles, read how each one works, and book whoever feels right. If it isn't the right fit, you can switch.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Sessions are private between you and your psychologist. The limited exceptions — where there's a risk to your safety or someone else's — are the same ones that apply to therapy anywhere.
